Umm, yeah, well. I've been busy with a lot of more important things (gf broke up with me, I had to move and still no internet at the new place).

But I might get back into demystifying Reus later. Anything in particular you want to find out more about?

You answered most of the question I should have asked and since border growth is mostly linked to time, I don't feel there is much more explanations to give (It would have been more complicated with prosperity maybe).
If you find something useful or if I am wrong saying it is mostly due to time well I maybe did not understand your explanations correctly.

Very useful topic!

What I missed however, is that there seems to be a minimum prosperity requirement as well. Maybe this was added in later patches of the game?

While the border expansion definitely is a function of time and both same terrain type and certain resources at the border can speed up expansion, prosperity for sure plays a role too. I have played several games in which the village stopped expanding entirely, until I added several thousands of resources. Result was the village expanding its borders by 8-10 tiles instantly (well, 1 tile per 5 seconds actually).

Please note that the former borders were not blocked in any way; not by dangerous resources, nor by other villages.

Now the question is: how much prosperity is required for what size village?
