Hm, odd. Could you maybe try running the game in administrator mode? We can't guarantee complete save game compatibility between the XNA and FNA version of the game, but a new game should work. Let me know! :)

Hey Flabbergasted, Sorry for the late reply! Encounter crashes _usually_ mean that the game has run out of (video or system) memory. Could you send me the abbeycore.txt log file from after a crash? Should be located in the game's installation folder. Either here on at support@abbeygames.com is fine :)

There are no general patches available for the game: patching is always done through the storefront where you bought it, which might be Steam, GOG, or Humble. So it depends on where your spouse bought it! :)

The counter is definitely buggy. I'm not exactly sure where the problem is located exactly. We have definitely also had reports from people's challenges not registering (and thus them having to do more than 25 challenges).
