Danger prevents greed from rising due to excess resource surplus. It can still rise due to failed projects. Greed in turn impacts the frequency of wars - if your greed is high enough, a village considers warring or attacking a giant; it doesn't care whether it's in the sweet-spot of danger for that....

Titan Mode. Hurray! May I make a friendly suggestion regarding it, if practical? Let people still pause - just don't let them interact at all while paused (no giving commands, no moving the camera). Since the projects tab does display project requirements, it shouldn't be difficult to tell the level of a given project. It's not like there's anything close to overlap... every higher level project requires over twice as much as anything from the previous level (30-40, 110-150, 400-500, 1250-1750)

I personally didn't find the unlocks at all irritating in normal play. 2 games at 30 minutes, 1 game at 1 hour, 2 games at 2 hours and I had all but 3 of them. I don't see any real need for a sub-forum. Weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/whatever challenge threads help draw veterans to the strategy/balance forum, which means newcomers also get a good source of advice and insight in that forum. A "Fast-forward" would really be ideal. Something which just makes the game start ticking 5-10x as fast. Only really useful if all you're doing is running out the clock in a stable situation.
