Re: Project Completion Bug?

Actually, I just ran into (possibly the same?) bug. I had every box checked except the "4 other villages" one, and I had 5 villages - I'd settled a fifth one about a minute back just to complete the challenge. It didn't register until I saved the game, exited, and re-loaded - upon which it instantly...

Re: Top Scores

I'd like to second the request for a "freeplay" high score - highest total globe prosperity you can achieve in freeplay mode. Just let players take a screenshot at any point they feel "done" during freeplay, and let's see how high we can get.

Re: Top Score Strategies

Also, water projects are more easily destroyed. For example, launching a create-forest ability which covers them cancels the project even though (being an ocean tile) a forest isn't actually created there.

Project priority

Has anyone figured out which projects are more likely (and, even better, how likely they are) for different village / terrain types? I only ask because I'm trying to generate 4 circuses in my freeplay game; I got one right away on desert, so I figured it must be favored there and quickly made all my...

Re: Punished into submission?

Then something changed in the patch? I guarantee attacking villages can punish them into submission, because that's how I have done it 90% of the time. Of course you have to do enough damage; one muck bomb is often not sufficient.

Re: Punished into submission?

When a village's greed gets high enough, there's a chance it will start attacking your giants. This gives you a big warning, and changes the information displayed when you select the village (the far right little circle turns red). And yes, this can make you lose if they kill one of your giants. Onc...

Re: do coal bonuses stack?

5 villages can fill the world, given time. It's 20 tiles per village, which means you need borders reaching out 8 tiles on each side from the village. You'll see that happen with some villages around 100 minutes in, if border pressure isn't cramping them. 6 villages can fill it in about an hour. It'...

Re: Top Scores

Certainly, a large part of the reason why mackerel have been so popular is just because they're simple. People are still getting used to all the sources and synergies, so the obvious tier-1 combo jumps out. I already have found several other combinations that are more effective than mackerel, althou...

Re: Destroying the Mackerel

Here's how I would do it... 1. Move mackerel to tier 2. 2. Replace them at tier 1 with some smaller fish - herring? How those should play, I don't know. 3. Replace the mackerel bonus with a +1 range per herring in range. 4. Make the harbor bonus town-specific instead of global. I think mackerel woul...
