Re: Helpful Tips and Tricks

The Ocean Giant creates 9-tile wide oceans, but they can be 'shrunk' to 6 tiles by nibbling at the edges with the Rock Giant's Create Mountain ability. A full-sized 9-tile ocean creates 13 tiles of 'wet' ground on each side, suitable for a swamp or forest. Each size reduction reduces the number of t...

Re: Top Score Strategies

Do multiple Coal play nicely when covering the same awe source, then? That does buff them. Significantly. I don't know if I'd call it "nicely"... you'll have massively negative awe for your village. But you also get good prosperity, so if you're prepared to use danger (or just run away) to deal wit...

Re: Top Score Strategies

Grrr... Now I really want to unlock coal. So many things to test! You got a bit less than one week before the nerfhammer drops! What are you thinking for nerfs? With the awe penalty and the high tier, it does deserve to be a little better than comparables, but not 20 times better - which is current...

Re: Top Score Strategies

Wow, that coal is insane. I don't know really what's the problem here: Coal being too much, or giant hunting being to easy to avoid? What would you say Dunam? I would say it's definitely an issue with the strength of that x20 multiplier. Simply alternating tea-tea-coal-tea-tea-tea-tea-coal-tea-tea ...

Re: Top Score Strategies

I think the weakness of bighorn is that it must receive danger, which is not ideal for an animal you want to spam. Also goats and deer are interesting, but hardly ever for themselves and they are not very good to spam either. Diamond wasn't as good as I expected it to be. It's kinda like a .5 wealt...

Re: Top Score Strategies

My eye fell on oil. Receiving 8 aspects and giving an immense amount of resource per tile without needing to create a careful ecosystem. That looks interesting. .... The initial plan was oil, but oil wasn't as strong as I thought. However, the same aspects gave me access to coal, which is INSANE. H...

Re: Top Score Strategies

It has occurred to me that the most mathematically 'powerful' symbioses are the ones which 'build' multiplicatively off of other stats. This is the mechanic that drives the Mackerel/Anglerfish synergy, the Flourite/Coal synergy, and the Hemp synergies. The other very strong type of synergy is the 'b...

Re: plots capped at 200 per resource?

People have definitely gotten well over 200 on a tile.
3195 Tech, for example.

Re: Borders

The code for growth is very complicated (and uses a lot of local variables, making it really difficult to read if you don't have the real source code). Here's the relevant decompiled code for people who can read C# , though you'll find it hard to read even if you use C# frequently. The growth algor...

Pretty sure it's 100, but I'll count again when I get off of work.

EDIT: Yep, 100 tiles. I've uploaded a well-marked map so you can measure it for yourself.
