Re: do coal bonuses stack?

something else I was wondering, is if a town hits the border of another town, will its growth in the other direction speed up? halt also? I'm not sure about the effect on the 'other side', but I think I've observed a sudden growth in borders of a town when it's neighbor is destroyed, implying that ...

Re: Reus: the plan!

I'd personally love a mobile phone / PS Vita port (especially the latter, Reus would look gorgeous on the Vita's OLED screen.), I just had to send in my laptop for repair yesterday and I already miss my 30min-games of Reus in bed before peacefully falling asleep... so, yeah, I'd buy the game again ...

Re: do coal bonuses stack?

So it looks like time (and possibly terrain? will test that in my next game) is the only factor in village growth. Was one near mountains? those are supposed to slow growth as well as armies. Nope - in my test game, I was careful to interrupt my rock giant before he produced any mountain tiles, so ...

Re: do coal bonuses stack?

With enough time and prosperity I think 6 villages can have border to border the entire world. Borders get insane with high prosperity & time. Just did a quick test - ran a 30 minute game with two desert towns on opposite sides of a 100% desert planet. One, I upgraded (nothing fancy, just a pile of...

Or Tech - Phosphorus + Hemp in a swamp produces silly amounts of tech and awe. Will probably be the keystone of my next project.

Re: Stop overwriting my crucial tiles with challenge buildin

What about (and pardon me if this is already possible - I haven't fiddled with the skill enough) allowing Migrate to move challenges (and maybe even villages)? This would make the skill significantly better, in that currently it can't do anything that you can't do by just replacing a tile, and it wo...

Re: do coal bonuses stack?

Sooo... the humans don't start projects in your perfect world? You lose another six squares to that. Nope. And players don't use aspects, projects don't give bonuses, the neighbor symbiosis for Coal is never triggered, greed doesn't exist, and six villages are necessary to girdle the world. Is call...

Re: do coal bonuses stack?

Another option along the same lines of this coal idea would be to use Bighorns to boost deer/goats. A bighorn only adds 15 prosperity to a dear/goat patch, where coal adds 20 to a copper patch, though, and deer/goats are less valuable to start than mountain-boosted copper. Unlike coal, they don't ha...

Re: do coal bonuses stack?

Yes, it needs to be activated to have the effect. However, don't think your post fell on deaf ears. I did consider it a coalple of times. The main problems are the activation and the limited world size. But I think with some careful planning you could get about 20 coal mines activated, 5 per villag...

Re: Destroying the Mackerel

When I need large amounts of food to complete a project (and i have not been expressly building a super optimized island world), I get better results filling in the ocean and building some pear orchards. Three pear trees together = 55 food (25 from the 'strongest' pear tree). Three mackerel togethe...
