I think we should use very strict naming conventions for the article pages, like this:
instead of
I believe this also allows for better automated linking and such.
The TF2-wiki mentions that there is a tag for overriding a page title.
wiki.teamfortress.com wrote:
Use {{DISPLAYTITLE:abcxyz}} to show a translated title.
For example: {{DISPLAYTITLE:Flammenwerfer}} would show the title "Flammenwerfer" while keeping the real article title as "Flamethrower/de".
The display title can also be set by the infobox (see below).
But I'm not yet sure whether that's a standard MediaWiki functionality.

Okay, let's do it this way.
And FYI: this isn't a standard functionality, but I think we can use my page linking badges as mentioned before to link the pages and make a multilanguage wiki.
I've changed all existing pages, so we can start translating English pages in different languages.

No, this isn't possible, because this way would need one MediaWiki installation and one MySQL database PER language as mentioned before.

I see, so we can maybe customize every foreign pages with a "return to main page" in the language needed

I've added badges to make this possible. I posted it on Reus:Translation page too:
Code: Select all
German: {{GerTransAvail|NAME_OF_TRANSLATED_PAGE|SHOWN_NAME_OF_TRANSLATED_PAGE}}
English: {{EngTransAvail|NAME_OF_TRANSLATED_PAGE|SHOWN_NAME_OF_TRANSLATED_PAGE}}
French: {{FreTransAvail|NAME_OF_TRANSLATED_PAGE|SHOWN_NAME_OF_TRANSLATED_PAGE}}
Portuguese: {{PorTransAvail|NAME_OF_TRANSLATED_PAGE|SHOWN_NAME_OF_TRANSLATED_PAGE}}
For example you create
Projects/fr.
There you add {{EngTransAvail|Projects|Projects}} and {{GerTransAvail|Projects/de|Projekte}}
It's NAME OF TEMPLATE/NAME OF PAGE WITHIN THE WIKI/NAME ACTUALLY SHOWN ON PAGE

Maybe we can add it at the end of every pages because it messes up with images sometimes (in biomes for example)
If you can create a "go to bottom of page" as an arrow pointing toward the bottom of the page
And I was thinking about badges like that :

- New badge (?)

This is possible, but I think it would be really annoying to scroll down every time you want to use the links.
Additionally badges on top of a page are far more obvious.
