ESET NOD32 Quarantining Reus.exe

Post by Zatie12 » Tue Jul 16, 2013 3:55 pm

I have recently bought Reus on Steam. When the game is running (and only when the game is running) my ESET NOD32 Anti Virus is detecting and quarantining Reus.exe as "a variant of MSIL/Packed.Confuser.E suspicious application".

I suspect this is a false positive although in all the years of using NOD32, I have never seen a false positive and therefore I am naturally cautious. I can submit this to ESET as a false positive if you permit me to do so. I'm looking for some clarification on this one too.

Reus.exe 1147392 bytes. MD5: 74688d87e9ff77c3fe23c0d5c095bf37

I guess this is due to the chinese characters the devs put in the code in order to slow down the cracking process.
