Reus @ A Maze

Post by Wyeth » Sun Apr 28, 2013 11:10 am

Just came back from the A MAZE in Berlin.

Reus was definitely one of the best games I had the pleasure of playing there, I was blown away of how deep it was while looking clean and feeling great.

Looking forward to release (or beta if I happen to make it in).

I truly hope that one day I can make a game as great as this.

Keep up the good work and thank you.

Hey Wyeth,

So glad to hear that! Thanks for the compliments :) Did we meet? (I met noone with the name Wyeth I think).
Unfortunately we stopped adding people to the beta, but release is only 15 days away (o.0).

Totally misreading my calendar. Actually it's 18 days left to release. I'm too excited :P

Ah no sadly we did not meet somehow, or maybe I didn't recognize you?

My name is Daniel in RL, in any case its a shame I was kind of too blasted by all the stuff going on at A MAZE... for some reason it didn't cross my mind that the creator of the game is probably present too :D

Anyways yeah I am waiting for it, it will be great, I really hope I gonna have enough time to get properly into it once it comes out with all the studies and stuff.
Oh yeah forgot to mention I am a student at the Games Academy Berlin, so I sure hope to be able to learn something of you guys (from playing/studying the game).

Looking forward to it.

Glad you enjoyed it at A MAZE. :D

Are you studying game design in Berlin? Would be cool if you got something interesting out of it. :)

I played it too @ a maze. Very cool game. I played it for 20 minutes or so and 2 days later I was still running experiments in my head of 'what if I did this' or 'what would happen in this case?'. Fun stuff.

We didn't meet though, I was too busy trying out games ;)

I'm from Utrecht, too, and came across a maze by accident :) Lucky me. Reus was the very last game I played. Nice way to end a good experience.

Coincidence! Too bad we didn't meet. Are you doing something with games, too?

I design a board game every two months or so and write a computer game design doc every year or so, but that's kinda like writing poetry, nothing serious. People used to get addicted to the games I wrote for the TI-83 in high school. But I'm professionally involved in theatre and film, not games.

So I'm more of a fan.
(I also ran into my favorite indie game dev. Terry Cavanagh, yay)

Any good game related events happening in Utrecht?

Also did you have a good time @ a maze? Pretty damn cool atmosphere, no?
